All aboard for a culinary adventure at the Brighton Toy and Model Museum on Sunday 30 April from 3-5pm.
Hosted in conjunction with BITE Sussex, the team from Isaac At will be presenting five creative snacks themed around your favourite sweets, treats and toys.
The menu for this one-off, never-to-be-repeated event includes ‘Gummy Bears’, ‘Fennel and Lavender Shortbread Jenga’, ‘Train Driver’s Lunch’, handmade toffees and ‘Edible Playdough’.
“The Toy Museum has such a wealth of amazing artefacts, walking around for even ten minutes there was so much that spoke to me and the team”, said Caspian Armani, head chef of Isaac At.
“Nostalgia and childhood are such universally strong themes; we’re really excited to share our ideas with our guests” .
Alongside the snacks, guests will also enjoy three cocktails presented by local distilleries: Brighton Gin, Madame Jennifer Distillery and Slake Spirits. Each cocktail will be inspired by a toy or model from the collection.
“Follow the success of our cocktails and canapés fundraising event in August we couldn’t wait to get back to the Toy Museum”, said Nathalie Gomez de Vera, co-director of the BITE Sussex food and drink group.
“It really is such a unique space and I can’t wait to see – and taste – what Caspian and the Isaac team come up with”.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the museum’s Trafalgar Street Regeneration Project, that will see a new facade to the museum to improve the streetscape beneath Brighton station for locals and visitors alike.
“The regeneration project isn’t just good for the museum but also for the wider community”, said Jan Etches, general manager of the museum.
“The top of Trafalgar Street is one of the main gate ways into North Laine and it hasn’t looked its best for a long time”.
“Thanks to exciting events such as this and the support of businesses and customers, we’re well on the way to our £100,000 target to start the build”.
Limited advance tickets are £55 including five snacks, three cocktails and entry to the museum. Buy online via Isaac At’s website: https://www.isaac-at.com/reservations
Please note that due to the nature of this event the only dietary we can accommodate is vegetarian, which must be ordered in advance in the comment box when you purchase your tickets. As alcohol is served, this event is strictly 18 and over.
