Our monthly BITE Sussex 'Meanwhile Mondays' @ Meanwhile Café in Brighton are sell-outs

At the start of 2023, our long-standing friends at My Brighton hotel asked us to host a monthly programme of BITE Sussex pop-up dinners in their popular Meanwhile Café space... and 'Meanwhile Mondays' were born!

Once a month, we've invited local chefs to take over the space for a one-off event to showcase their offering to a new audience. The remit has always been deliberately vague as we wanted to create an opportunity for chefs and restaurateurs to think a little 'out of the box'. The only criteria was the food offering had to be priced at £35.

We're pleased to relay that everyone has really jumped on the opportunity with an amazing – and very varied – line-up including chef Simon Mckenzie, Angelica Food, Boho Gelato, Pulpo Negro, Youjuice, Nanima Asian Kitchen and Brighton icon Momma Cherri all stepping up to the hot plate!
